Enamelled steel pots are true kitchen classics that almost all of us remember from our parents or grandparents before stainless steel pots became mainstream.
Steel-enamel pots have a layer of enamel on the inside and outside, which is fired in the oven at over 800° C and is inseparably bonded to the steel. The glass-like surface is smooth and non-porous, does not absorb odors or colors and is therefore very hygienic.
Please note that while enamel is glassy smooth , like glass, it has no non-stick properties .
