Sometimes you would just like to have a little more space in the pan, but on many cookers there is hardly room for pans with a diameter of more than 28 cm.
Here the square pan is the solution: It has approx. 25% more usable area compared to a round pan of the same size. A 28x28 cm square pan offers almost as much space as a round pan with a diameter of 32 cm.
