Ultra Light products are manufactured using an innovative high-pressure casting process. This allows for thinner walls than conventional cast iron, resulting in a significant weight reduction. A subsequent special grinding process gives the products their characteristic surface. As a result, Ultra Light cast iron products are up to 40% lighter and therefore suitable for users who have previously been put off by the heavy weight of traditional cast iron cookware.

No, you can start cooking and frying straight away because the Ultra Light products are pre-seasoned with pure rapeseed oil at the factory.

This creates an optimal foundation for the patina that gradually forms during frying, which means that Ultra Light gets even better over time.

Yes, absolutely, Ultra Light cast iron is very suitable for induction cookers.

However, please note that due to its light weight, Ultra Light cast iron also heats up much faster than heavy, traditional cast iron. To prevent food from burning and the cookware from overheating, never use the power/booster setting on induction. Always heat Ultra Light cookware slowly and gradually, especially on induction.

The Ultra Light Original models with silicone handles are oven-safe up to 220°C. The Bakelite lid handle of the Ultra Light Professional casserole is also oven-safe up to 220°C.

The Ultra Light Professional pans have handles made of uncoated strip steel, are fully oven-safe and can also be used on the grill or over an open fire.
