Roasters made of raw, unsealed cast iron are very robust and durable cookware for traditional cooking. Cast iron roasters are of course significantly heavier than cast aluminum roasters, but they know how to impress with their excellent heat retention, ideal for slow, gentle cooking.
The seasoning layer applied in the factory is the optimal basis for the patina that develops over time, which further improves the frying properties.
