FAQ

Ultra Light products are manufactured using an innovative high-pressure casting process. This makes it possible to achieve thinner walls than with conventional iron casting and therefore a significant reduction in weight. A subsequent special grinding process gives the products their characteristic surface finish. As a result, the Ultra Light cast iron products are up to 40% lighter and are therefore also suitable for users who have previously shied away from the heavy weight of traditional cast iron cookware.

No, you can start cooking and frying straight away, because the Ultra Light products are completely baked for the first time in the factory with pure rapeseed oil.

This provides an ideal basis for the patina that gradually forms during frying, making Ultra Light even better over time.

Yes, absolutely, Ultra Light cast iron is very suitable for induction stoves.

But please note that Ultra Light cast iron also heats up much faster than heavy, traditional cast iron due to its low weight. To avoid burning the food and overheating the cookware, never use the power/booster setting on induction. Always heat the Ultra Light cookware slowly and gradually, especially on induction.

The Ultra Light Original models with silicone handle are ovenproof up to 220°C. The bakelite lid handle of the Ultra Light Professional roaster is also ovenproof up to 220°C.

The Ultra Light Professional pans have handles made of uncoated steel strip, are ovenproof without restrictions and can also be used on the grill or over an open fire.
