The Spanish Castey company looks back on a history of the Barberí art foundry that dates back to the 16th century. At that time, the three Barberí brothers, who came from Italy, settled in the north of Spain, where they initially made church bells, sculptures, etc. were manufactured. Daily necessities such as cookware followed later. In the 1990s, the development, production and sales of cookware were finally brought together under the umbrella of the Castey brand.

The removable handle made of high-quality cedar wood is particularly practical. The pan can also be put in the oven without a handle.

The Cocotte cast iron pots are perfect for traditional cooking, where slow simmering at even heat is required. The special teardrop profile on the inside of the lid ensures that condensed moisture is distributed finely, like rain, and returned to the food; This way everything stays nice and juicy.
